Hey,

At the moment I am going through the tutorials and I just wanted to point out that the paths, e.g. to the texture files, don't work for me. If you have ROOT_PATH + "SceneLoader/media/SmallDemoScene.spsb", for example, I change it into "media/SmallDemoScene.spsb" and then it works.
Maybe this helps somebody.

Greetings,
Karl_Costa

The path was used that it works for the pre-compiled binaries in the "SoftPixelEngine\bin\Win32-MSVC9\Release" folder ;-)

Use
Code:
video::Texture* myTex;

/* Load texture */

myTex->setFilter(video::FILTER_LINEAR);

Then create a billboard, using this texture.

Yes, use coder++'s suggestion.

The filter tells the GPU how the texels (texture pixels) will be sampled.
The default filter is "video::FILTER_SMOOTH", which make your sprite look blurry.

See video::Texture::setFilter

Greetings,
Lukas
