Also, if you plan to rebuild the engine for MinGW users which would be very helpful, I have another request.

I am running WinXP32 and there is no GetTickCount64 in my Kernel32.dll. Could you please edit this:

Code:
#if defined(SP_PLATFORM_WINDOWS)
#   include <windows.h>
#   ifdef SP_COMPILER_GCC
#       define GetTickCount64 GetTickCount
#   endif
#elif defined(SP_PLATFORM_LINUX)
#   include <unistd.h>
#endif

to redefine GetTickCount64 also under WinXP?
Otherwise not even the precompiled examples run on XP.

I don't know if this is the only problem or another one pops up once this is solved...

Sorry to bother with all this stuff, I think I cannot even slightly grasp what a pain it is to provide a platform-independent framework.
Never give up, never surrender! ;)

Kind regards,
Mirko

Still, it also works without all of these libraries. You only need boost ;-)

But you have to comment out all macros specifying which libraries you are not using.
Look into the "Base/spCompilationOptions.hpp" file. More about this in the FAQ.

Am I right, you cannot run all pre-compiled examples on WinXP?

Hi!

Ok, I disabled most of the external libraries.

Correct.

Now I managed to walk through many compiling obstacles already. The latest flavour:

fatal error: GL/wglext.h: No such file or directory

I downloaded GLUT and GLEW packages and included them into the cmakelist but it didn't help. The problem may be that there are a lot of GL and openGL folders on my system and I can't be sure that cmake finds the correct one. On the other hand, there is no wglext.h in my mingw/include/GL folder and I have a pretty new mingw. So I am not sure what to do about this. Actually it is weird for me that there is no specific OpenGL sdk for download... just these things with gl in their names. What to do?

EDIT: turns out I just had to download wglext.h and put it into mingw/include/GL
